IGNOU BEd Admission Fee Structure Eligibility & Syllabus 2016-17

IGNOU BEd Course Duration

The duration of BEd offered by IGNOU is minimum 2 years and maximum 5 years which means one has to pass all the exams withing maximum 5 years.

IGNOU BEd Age Limit

There is no age limit for this course as of 2016. The only condition is that you have to meet the eligibility criteria listed below.

IGNOU BEd Entrance Examination

For taking admission in BEd you need to give entrance test which consists of two parts. Part A and Part B explained in details below.

• Part A - This part will consist of General English Comprehension, Logical & Analytical Reasoning, Educational & General Awareness, Teaching-Learning & the School.
• Part B - This part will consist of the subjects : Science, Mathematics, Social Studies, English & Hindi, However from Part B the only subject is to be attempted. The test items of Part-B i.e. Subject Competence will be based on the curriculum of IX/X classes prescribed by the NCERT/CBSE.

IGNOU BEd Eligibility Criteria

One needs these following :

• At least 50% marks in either Bachelor or Higher Degree from a recognized university.
• Two years full-time regular teaching experience on the temporary/permanent basis as Primary/Graduate/Post-Graduate Teachers in Primary, Secondary/Higher/Senior secondary school recognized by the central or a state government or a union territory are eligible to take admission. 

The reservation for SC/ST/OBC/Others shall be as per the rules of Central Government. There will be 5% marks if favor of SC/ST/Kashmir Migrant as per the rule of India Government.

IGNOU BEd Fee Structure

The fee structure of BEd is quite simple. One has to pay the fee in a lump sum amount which is RS.20,000/- by Demand Draft only in the 1st year of the course which is payable at the respective Regional Center in your city.

The Registration form is of Rs. 1000/- at counter and Rs. 1050/- by post

NOTE : The fee is not paid along with the admission form. There will be a separate form for paying the fee.

IGNOU BEd Admission Procedure

For taking admission you need to appear for IGNOU Entrance Exam first which IGNOU conducts every year. The candidate will be required to submit the filled-in application form with self-attested copies of documents as specified in Entrance-cum-Admission Form. The original documents are to be submitted later for verification, after receiving the offer letter for admission.
